Industrial endoscopes have a wide range of uses, and can go deep into areas that cannot be directly seen by the human eye for surface observation. In the foundry industry, it can be used for quality control of auto parts, hydraulics, pump bodies, valve bodies, mechanical parts, pipe fittings and other casting products, and can detect surface defects such as internal sand, burrs, and staggered holes.
Recently, our service team came to a heavy industrial base in the north and visited a well-known local casting manufacturer that integrates cast iron production, processing and machining. The company’s main products include hydraulic parts, mechanical parts, and pipe fittings. Parts, automobile pipeline parts, automobile engine parts, engineering machinery parts, pump valve body parts, wind power gearbox parts, oil field equipment parts, etc. We used an industrial endoscope to inspect one of its auto parts.
In general, for the inner surface condition of casting products, such as sand inclusions, burrs and other defects, it is necessary to adopt destructive inspection methods, and the sampling samples are directly cut to observe the inner surface. The use of endoscopic detection greatly improves work efficiency and reduces the loss caused by destructive detection.
